NICU Jargon Rx is committed to making our website accessible and usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

We strive to design and maintain this website in accordance with recognized accessibility principles and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We are continually working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website.

What this means in practice

This website is built and tested with keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader semantics, color contrast, heading and landmark structure, form labelling and error handling, text alternatives for images, behavior at high browser zoom, and support for the reduced-motion setting in your operating system.

Known limitations

Our educational cards are shown as photographs of the printed product, so the wording printed on a card is an image rather than selectable text. Each card image is described so that its identity and purpose are clear, and we are working on full text alternatives for the card content. Where video is added to this site, captions will be provided.

We describe this site as designed and maintained with WCAG 2.1 Level AA principles in mind. We do not claim certification, and we would rather name a gap than overstate where we are.
